The Eagles Lodge in Oskaloosa sponsored a breakfast to raise funds for the Community Center on Saturday, June 7, 2008.  Both Eagles and Community Center volunteers cooked up a robust breakfast of eggs, pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and juice for those who stopped by to jump start their weekend.  More than $300 was raised and shared by the Eagles and the Community Center.  The Eagles Lodge sponsors a breakfast the first Saturday of every month to benefit community organizations in the area.

The Oskaloosa Community Center joined others in Oskaloosa and offered up all sorts of treasures during the Oskaloosa-wide garage sale day June 9, 2007.  From the sale of those “treasures” and contributions from Center supporters, the Center added $800 to the resources needed to build the Center. Thanks to all those who donated sale items and time and effort to the sale. 

Saturday, March 17, 2007, the Oskaloosa Community Center hosted its first St. Patrick’s Day Party at the First Presbyterian Church in Oskaloosa. While attendance was small, the hearty leprechauns who gathered belted out Irish tunes and loosened belts for the fine Irish stew. Carol Auchard was the surprise winner of a discounted night at the Barn Bed and Breakfast and others drew for a variety of smaller prizes.
